Precious little rosebud,
You barely got to bloom
Before your life was forfeit
And our lives were turned to gloom.

You brought a ray of sunshine
Everywhere you went,
And hours shared with you, Loyce,
Were precious times well spent.

We know you’re now with Jesus
And you’ll bloom in heaven’s light,
But we’re wishing you were with us still,
To hold our hands so tight

And share the sweetness of your soul,
The beauty of your face,
And all the lovely things you were,
By God’s sweet loving grace.

Run and play in heaven’s fields,
Take naps in Jesus’ arms;
But always come to us in dreams
To share your precious charms.

Our hearts are yours, sweet precious girl,
We love you, Baby Loyce.
Someday we’ll meet in heaven so fair,
And ever more rejoice.
