You Were My Sunshine

You were my Sunshine, my precious Sunshine;
You made me happy all through each day;
You'll never know, dear, how much I love you,
Forever and Always!

When I see sunshine, I think of you, dear,
Of how you made each day so bright!
Now I am lonely-- so very lonely
For you've gone away from my sight.

You still shine on, dear, but up in heaven,
Where angels shine as bright as day,
Someday I'll join you; we'll shine together,
Forever and always!
